Kathleen Thompson

Kathleen Thompson, longtime member of Parkpoint, is exhibiting a selection of her works. She is a nationally recognized artist whose works have been in exhibits in New York, New Mexico, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Vermont, and other places. Mark Van Proyen and other important Bay Area art writers have written about her abstract art.

Kathleen writes, "In my work, I rely on intuition, memory, process and materials. I am influenced by nature, personal history and the collective tradition of art making. Surfaces are worked and reworked to achieve a palimpsest like effect of layered meaning.  The Parkpoint Club is such a wonderful community of people, truly an oasis…conducive to creative work."
