Karen Basore
Karen Basore graduated from the National Holistic Institute in 1990 where she learned various techniques: Swedish, Shiatsu, Trigger Point Therapy, Sports massage, Reflexology, Myofacial release, Deep Tissue and much more. She continued her education with a Kinesiology for Bodywork's workshop given by the Kinesiology Institute, an Anatomy-Kinesiology class at Alive & Well and an advance Deep Tissue workshop in Sonoma. In 1997 she went back to the College of Marin to take various life science classes such as anatomy and nutrition.

Karen has always been athletic; enjoying dance, sports and yoga. In 2000, she took an Intensive Yoga Teacher Training in Novato where she learned a blended Hatha flow style. She feels that this has enhanced her massage abilities because she has learned to combine movement knowledge with massage techniques.

Style: "I blend the different massage styles I have learned over the years and personalize each massage to meet each client's needs. From a soothing style to a deep-tissue/sports style massage with a blending of eastern and western techniques."
