Parkpoint’s Pilates staff are all certified Pilates trainers. They will help you create a personalized program that addresses your needs and helps you reach your goals. Under their guidance you will become more aware of how your body functions, and learn how to move with greater control, efficiency, and strength. It will feel as if you are meeting your body for the first time––in a good way!

Our Personal Trainers offer one-on-one training on both the mat and the Reformer, a piece of equipment specifically designed to train the body using Pilates principles.

Barbara Bloom

Barbara Bloom has worked in the field of health and fitness for the last 35 years. She is a Certified Pilates Trainer through Carol Appel Pilates Plus and Stamina Mind Body Fitness in both Mat and Reformer, as well as a Certified Personal Trainer with a specialty in Wellness and Longevity. Barbara was introduced to Pilates as a young dancer in New York by Joseph Pilates himself. Barbara is dedicated to helping people achieve optimal health and fitness.


Flo Shields

Flo was trained in Pilates through the Body Kinectics Teacher Certificate Program with Carol Appel in 1997. She practiced Pilates to rehabilitate from knee and shoulder injuries, and fell in love with the method. She uniquely relates to those rehabilitating from injuries. Though Pilates is Flo’s main area of expertise, she is committed to designing comprehensive fitness programs through cardiovascular workouts, Pilates core training and weight training.

Jennie Gilman

Jennie’s introduction to Pilates came as the result of a debilitating car accident eleven years ago. Following a lengthy period of chronic pain, her orthopedic surgeon prescribed Pilates. Under the expert instruction of Jillian Hessel, Jennie found herself free from pain in a relatively short time. Her experience inspired her to deepen her practice and become certified. Jennie studied with Madaline Black, and Sarah Scott Johnson, both noted instructors. She received her certification from the Physical Mind Institute. She is also certified in gyrotonics.

Jennifer Blackwood

Jennifer received her Pilates certification from Stott Pilates International at Fitness Concepts by Master Trainer, Carla Hales, in Los Gatos, CA in 2001. She was trained to teach Mat and Reformer Pilates, beginning through advanced levels. Her priority is making Pilates successful and enjoyable for everyone, regardless of current level of fitness or past exercise experience.

Kim Pauley

Kim is Pilates Certified through Carol Appel Pilates Plus and Stamina Mind-Body Fitness in both Mat and Reformer. Kim has been the Group Exercise Director at the Sonoma Club since 1982 and a Certified Personal Trainer and Instructor through (ACE) American Council on Exercise for over 25 years. Kim enjoys all types of Personal Training including training with weights; the Pilates Reformer or Pilates Mat Training. Kim is conscientious with her clients to make sure that they are trained according to their particular fitness level as well as, other body considerations of the client.

Kim Pauley
