Nick Barbieri

A NESTA Certified Personal Trainer, Nick has a sports background that includes golf, basketball, and competitive sand volleyball, as well as experience as a high school basketball coach. He has been a valued staff member on the Parkpoint Fitness Floor since 2009. Nick trains individuals of all fitness levels and his sports experience makes him a great trainer for golfers, basketball players, and other sports aficionados as he knows what it takes to train and play. “The human body is our temple. I have a passion to teach people ways to keep it strong and healthy.”

Jenna Merrow

Jenna has her B.S. in Clinical Nutrition from U.C. Davis and Personal Training Certification and Functional Training Specialty Certificate through the American Council of Exercise. Her passion and drive for nutrition, health, and fitness has led her to work in many different positions that have rounded her perspective on wellness. She has been a personal trainer/group fitness instructor emphasizing on athletic training and beginner training since 2015. She has also worked within the community as a nutrition educator, counseled in nutrition and lifestyle wellness, and in her world travels has been a cleansing/detox consultant in Thailand—all positions in which she was dedicated to helping others become their healthiest versions. In her spare time she is learning about health, fitness, science, and psychology trends. She enjoys the beautiful northern bay area, seeking out hiking adventures whenever she can! “I’ve always been in awe of the human body, believing we operate a beautiful biological piece of moving machinery. I work with clients to develop programs that create lifelong adherence to the enjoyment of movement while achieving sustainable fitness goals. The best exercise is the exercise you will do and enjoy!”

Sabrina Mitchell

Sabrina has been involved in the fitness industry for over 25 years and is dedicated to ongoing education and training. She is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, ACE Group Exercise Instructor, Reebok Certified Cycling Instructor, and has taken numerous courses and trainings over the years. She has been a Group Exercise Instructor with Parkpoint since 1985 and specializes in both strength and effective cardio training. As a Pilates Personal Trainer, Sabrina trained with Balanced Body University and completed Levels I–IV in reformer as well as mat training. With her diverse background, Sabrina is able to train clients of all ages and fitness levels either on the fitness floor or in the Pilates Studio. She specializes in addressing muscular imbalances, strengthening and stabilizing the core, and staying fit as we age. Sabrina has the unique ability to connect with any individual and create a program based on their needs and abilities. “I want to inspire, motivate, and coach my clients so that they achieve their goals.”

Lana Pacheco

Lana Pacheco is the Santa Rosa Fitness Director. She holds a B.A. in Physical Education from the California State University in Northridge and holds multiple national certifications. Her certifications include National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certified Personal Trainer, NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist, NASM Performance Enhancement Specialist, and is certified in Weight Management through NASM as well. Lana is also LeMond RevMaster Cycle certified and TRX certified. Lana has been a Personal Trainer since 1992. She’s been on the fitness staff at Parkpoint since 1994. With her extensive background, Lana is a valuable resource for both members and the training staff. She trains all fitness levels and all ages from athletes to those rehabilitating from injuries. In her spare time Lana enjoys working out, hanging out, and wave-watching. “I have worked with individuals of varying ages and abilities. I enjoy all aspects of developing challenging, yet attainable programs for these individuals. My motto is ‘more is not always better’.”

Layne Scoggins

Layne is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Keiser Indoor Cycling Instructor, and USA Triathlon certified. Layne is a passionate cyclist, triathlon competitor, and a six-time Ironman finisher. He has been a cycling instructor for Parkpoint since 2009 as well as a triathlon coach. As a discerning listener and an enthusiastic motivator dedicated to meeting the needs and interests of his clients, he is very skilled in training individuals of all abilities. “Your body is the greatest instrument you’ll ever have. Use and move it every day.”

Joey Tuohy

Joey is a Certified Personal Trainer (ACSM); Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (NSCA) (in progress); Certified Massage Therapist (CAMTC); Massage Therapist, National Holistic Institute. She has a B.S. in Kinesiology-Exercise Science from Humboldt State University. Other credentials include FMT Basic: Kinesiology Taping Practitioner Certification, Graston Technique Therapy Speciality (GTS) (in progress), and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). Joey specializes in injury care through manual therapy, Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), taping, and corrective exercises. “Let nothing hold you back from creating the life you’ve always wanted.”

Krista Williams

Krista has worked in the fitness industry for over 10 years. She is certified with NESTA (National Exercise and Sports Trainer Association), and is a TRX qualified trainer. Krista has a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Sonoma State University. She continues her studies in strength and conditioning and current training methods. Her passion lies specifically in whole body movement exercises, core balance, and improving flexibility and joint stability, along with the proper nutrition needed for achieving long- and short-term fitness goals. She has extensive experience working with members who have just completed physical therapy and rehab. She has 10 years’ experience as a coach of competitive running, gait mechanics, triathlon training, and other athletic sports. She designs innovative programs that will not only challenge the body, but the mind as well. Krista offers very focused and well-balanced sessions that are easy to incorporate into the workout regimen. “Our bodies are complex systems. When one part is compromised, this creates a chain of events that over time may develop dysfunctions in the body. I truly believe we are only as strong as our weakest link, and it is essential to create a balanced and healthy body for both sport and life.”
