OUR MASSAGE THERAPISTS
Karen has studied at the National Holistic Institute, Alive and Well in San Anselmo, College of Marin, the Kinesiology Institute, and the San Francisco School of Massage, learning Swedish Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Reflexology, Deep Tissue Massage, Myofascial Release, Sports Massage, Shiatsu, Trager, Polarity Energy Work, Thai Massage, and Kinesiology. Karen is also a 200-hour Yoga Alliance Certified Teacher. Her style reflects her knowledge of the body and integrates many modalities to fit the needs and desire of the individual client. From a relaxing, gentle Swedish style to a firm therapeutic, sports style, she tailors each massage to fit the client’s needs.
As a mother of two high-level competitive gymnasts, Janee’s passion for keeping their bodies tension and injury-free has led to a career in massage. Janee is on a mission to alleviate pain and strain on both body and mind for all of her clients. Longevity and overall quality of life is pivotal in caring for the body, and Janee wants to help as many people as she can to achieve that balance. Although she enjoys working with athletes to help keep their bodies at peak performance, Janee prides herself on the quality and versatility of every massage she gives. She listens to her client’s needs and creates a custom massage for each person. Janee trained at the National Holistic Institute and is well-versed in several modalities, including myofascial release, deep tissue, sports massage, Swedish, Shiatsu, lymphatic, pregnancy, and PNF (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation) stretching.
